If we talked about nationalism or patriotism, film director Antoine Fuqua (Brooklyn's Finest, 2010) entitled Olympus Has Fallen is also the theme of the same narrative. Only, instead of presenting the story of an elementary school student who attempted to realize his grandfather's obsession about his country's flag, Olympus Has Fallen tells about a former secret agent who fought the United States in fighting terrorism are trying to break the unity of the country.

Olympus Has Fallen begins by introducing the main character, a secret agent, Mike Banning (Butler), who is now serving as a member of the presidential security group. Over his work ethic known very bright, even Mike has gained a strong belief of the president. President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) and his family, his wife, Margaret (Ashley Judd) and her son, Connor (Finley Jacobsen). Unfortunately, not all of the family life of the president he can secure. When one night there was an accident on the first family's motorcade, Mike was able to save the president, but failed to save his wife that led to his death.

Eighteen months later, the result was not able to survive the bad memories, Mike has now been transferred to the United States Treasury Department employee - though often his heart still miss the days duty at the Palace of the United States, The White House. One day, when President Benjamin Asher is undergoing a political meeting with a delegation from South Korea, an aircraft flew successfully entered the U.S. capital, Washington DC, and began to make every object or human being within its range as a target. The fighter was apparently just the beginning of a series of attacks launched by a group of terrorists who want to make the White House as their main target. Mike Banning obviously did not take it for granted that he loved the country ravaged by an alien force. He then began to formulate a plan to counterattack later to members of the terrorist.

While written manuscripts produced by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt did not offer anything new to the audience, but the Olympus Has Fallen obviously is not a bad presentation. Much of that success comes from the success of Antoine Fuqua to collect a range of actors have acting skills really satisfying. See how names like Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster Radha Mitchell even able to give the appearance that steal the show though the narrative portion of the character they play is really limited.

Gerard Butler, who was in the front line acting department also clearly not disappoint. Butler's role in an action movie is clearly a Butler who is at his best element, and he was able to explore the character he played to perfection! The same praise can be given to Rick Yune, who plays the main antagonist character. With a handsome face and athletic body, capable Yune figure transformed into a compelling character, but obviously very deadly. Both Butler and Yune managed to make the characters they played a really impressive - including when the two characters finally face each other.

At the same time, Fuqua unfortunately failed to prevent Olympus Has Fallen to not fall into the trap of similar films. When the intensity of the suspense story has managed to wake early enough, Olympus Has Fallen began to feel long-winded in delivering the solution of the problem. Set of terrorists and their accomplices were originally described as a perfectionist in the conduct of its action are slowly starting to see weakness shown,  that the main character can drop them. Rows of dialogue that initially seem normal and then turns into the cheesy over the course of the film's duration. Even so, with a bandage action scenes that have been presented Fuqua, it did not seem to be many discordant voices who questioned tiny pebbles are present throughout the course of the film.

Olympus Has Fallen definitely not a movie to be much remembered by many people long after watching. Even so, Antoine Fuqua managed to make this movie so well that it has a quality that is top-quality movies sepantarannya. Part of that success comes from the ability to control the rhythm of storytelling Fuqua films so as to bring the intensity of the suspense story so awake. Coupled with production layout and appearance apiknya acting of the cast of the film lineup, Olympus Has Fallen successfully transformed into a presentation which though seem cliche action but able to perform so entertaining along the narrative.
